A check on the IGI at Familysearch.org gives 10 children to couples with those names:
International Genealogical Index / British Isles - 10
Select records to download - (50 maximum)
1. THOMAS WINNING Male Christening: 13 NOV 1831 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
2. JAMES WINNING - Male Christening: 11 SEP 1810 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
3. JANET WINNING -Female Christening: 03 AUG 1806 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
4. ISABELLA WINNING Female Christening: 07 FEB 1813 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
5. HELEN WINNING - Female Christening: 16 NOV 1817 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
6. HENRY WINNING - Male Christening: 31 MAR 1822 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
7. ELISABETH WINNING - Female Christening: 22 MAY 1808 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
8. JOHN WINNING Male Christening: 18 JUN 1815 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
9. WILLIAM WINNING - Male Christening: 02 APR 1820 Barony, Lanark, Scotland
10. WILLIAM WINNING - Male Christening: 12 DEC 1824 Barony, Lanark, Scotland

all within the same area and time span, so presumably the same family.

A look at Freecen gives:
1841
Piece: SCT1841/622 Place: Barony -Lanarkshire Enumeration District: 16
Civil Parish: Barony Ecclesiastical Parish, Village or Island: Shettleston
Folio: 195 Page: 1
Address: Westmuir
Surname First name(s) Sex Age Occupation Where Born Remarks
WINNING John M 55 Coal Winder Lanarkshire
WINNING Isabella F 50 Lanarkshire
WINNING James M 30 Coal Miner Lanarkshire
WINNING Henry M 15 Coal Miner Lanarkshire
WINNING Wm. M 15 Coal Miner Lanarkshire
WINNING Archd. M 14 Smith Apprentice Lanarkshire
WINNING John M 3 Lanarkshire
WINNING Isabella F 4 Lanarkshire
The 1841 doesn't give relatonships, so the younger 2 are likely grandchildren, James and Mary Dick
are probable parents -married 03 AUG 1834 Barony, Lanark, Scotland

Scotlandspeople gives a death for an Isabella Winning other surname Letham in around the 1860's
no sign of a John Winning of similar age, so perhaps he died before 1855,
I can't see a match for the couple together in 1851, so perhaps before then?

You can view and download all these records from Scotlandspeople [link at the top of the page].

Jerry,

Do you have access to Ancestry.com? I just did a search of the Public Member Family Trees and there seven trees ( )with your John Winning and Isabella Letham in them. Most agree that John's parents were James Winning and Elizabeth Horn. At least two give John's date of death as 4 Sep 1854. If you don't have a subscription already, you might check with your library or consider a short term subscription which would give you a chance to view these trees and contact the owners for information.

Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
