Hello Shona,

A search at Scotlands People shows that Janet died in 1939 at West Lothian. You can view the entry online for a few credits.

If you do a search at SP for deaths of anybody with a surname of Shillinglaw and a mother's maiden name of Walker you get 4 results. Their birth year ranges are within the right time scale to be Janet's children. You can view these for 1 credit and you might get an idea if they were born to Thomas and Janet by there given names.

Regards,
Annette

Hi Shona
I'm a bit confused now - have I got your Janets muddled?
So ma granny was 14 when she married thomas shillinglaw
This does not seem to tally with what you metioned earlier:
janet livingston was my great grannny she married william livingston then thomas shillinglaw
Whe did she marry William Livingston?

Best wishes
Lesley

Lesley,

I think Shona has her Granny's mixed up.. Janet Walker was 38 when she married Thomas Shillingham in 1918 so she would have been 24 when she married William Livingston in 1904 and had wee Janet the same year....................I think! :D

Regards,
Annette

Hello Lesley and Annette

Janet Livingston born 1904 was ma granny, her mother was Janet Walker who married William Livingston she was ma great granny, she married thomas shillinglaw in 1918 when ma granny was 13 years and 2 months old when they married they were a widow and widower on the marraige lines she was his housekeeper in east whitburn

I dont know when william livingston died or the name and date of thomas shillinglaws first wife

Hope thats a bit clearer for you both

Love Shona xx
