William remarried in Hamilton in 1929. He was 32 then and a widow. Can anyone tell me his first wifes name and place of marriage. Parent wer Robert xxx Reid and xxxx Reid MS McNicol.

Hi Caroline,
If you go to the marriage search on ScotlandsPeople, and search for groom's surname: REID with groom's forename WILLIAM McN and no other search criteria you will get six results. The middle names are shown for all six search results and you will easily pick out the two marriages for the this man. As both of his marriages are more than 75 years ago, the marriage certificates can be viewed online.
