Isabella McNicol died 23 02 1885 married to William McNicol
She was 68 years of age when she died. Her dad was Hugh Black (unable to read first namefor sure) farmer and her mother was Rachel Black (MS) Campbell? Isabella had a son James who was present when she died. Can anyone provide me with a copy of her marriage cert and also a copy of the birth cert for her and who her family consisted of. I am trying to trace the children they had.

The family is easy to find in 1861 at Bonhill (the original can be viewed at SP) -
William Mcnicol 42 born Strathblane, Stirlingshire
Isabella Mcnicol 41 born Alexandria, Dunbartonshire
Isabella Mcnicol 22
William Mcnicol 20
Hugh Mcnicol 18
Rachel Mcnicol 16
Archibald Mcnicol 11
Catherine Mcnicol 5
Matthew Mcnicol 3
Mary Mcnicol 1
I found their children and marriage date indexed at https://familysearch.org/ along with Isabella's date of birth - again the originals can be viewed at Scotlands People.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Annette

Hi
A bit more information for you.
Here she is in 1881.
14 North Street, Bonhill, Dunbarton
Isabella McNicoll, head, housekeeper, widow, 62, born Bonhill, Dunbarton
Matthew McNicoll, son, house painter, unmarried, 22, born Bonhill Dunbarton
Mary McNicoll, daughter, warehouse girl, unmarried, 20, born Bonhill, Dunbarton
Joseph Wilson, boarder, Calico printer, unmarried, 26, born Paisley, Renfrew
Catherine Wilson, boarder, no occupation shown, unmarried,25, born Bonhill, Dunbarton.

PS.I know it says that Catherine Wilson, aged 25 is unmarried, BUT could she be the Catherine McNicol, aged 5 in the 1861 census? Just a thought

Hi
You sent me a PM, but it was only a copy of the census I posted here. Did you mean to include any other details?
Best wishes
Jean
