Any Time scale for RCE online?.....

Post by joette » Wed Nov 16, 2005 2:33 pm

I never seem to have the combination of time & money when I come up to Scotland to visit NRH.I am particularly keen to read the RCE of William Fraser Mckimmie's death 1864.He was found drowned in a pool aged two.
My GGrandfather was born six years later (another boy born in between the death/birth.)He was named William Trail McKimmie & I suppose that he would have had a different name if his brother hadnt died.
Also his Father registered the death but doesnt state if he was present or not when death occured does this mean there was some sort of investigation into the death?
It has Result of Precognition see Reg of CE VolIB 12/13th? Nov 1864. on side of certificate.Would it be best to order a copy of this Certificate?
This is intriguing me as this is not one of the family tales my Granny told me & may also be the lock of hair in a mourning brooch which was stolen in a burglary from my Granny's house. She never knew who it belonged to
& as she was very close to this set of Grandparents who lived in Crieff & had little to do with the other set who lived nearby I am surprised they didnt share this with her.She recieved all of her Granny Roses jewelery despite not being the eldest granddaughter.I used to love looking at the photos in one of them & the lock of hair in the other.
