Hi,
Has to do with the DC of Alexander Deas.
I think it reads as Syme but not sure. I can find no other record of her.
I've uploaded the url and I'll post it here when approved.

Hi Dennis
You're correct in that it is Syme....the Marriage is listed on the IGI

I haven't searched for her death but perhaps it was prior to 1855 and that is the reason you can't find her. A parent search does not show any children but from his DC you know he has a son William....and here is William in 1881...

but unfortunately both these children would have been born prior to 1855 and I don't readily find them on the IGI. You would have to assume though that with a marriage in 1835 and Ann being born abt 1845 and William after that...that there might be some more kiddies before Ann. There are some more Deas on the 1881 born Arngask but without hunting them all down on SP there is no way to know if they were related. Oh..and I checked the BIVRI and you struck out. Also FREECen doesn't have Arngask on tap yet.
Sorry...best I could do...

Jean,
Thank you for the information. Might I ask what is the BIVRI?
Yes, I can see that the last child born to Alexander & Elizabeth was in Arngask c1852 and she is not on the 1861 census. So I guess I'm looking somewhere in a 10 year period from 1852-1861.
Some of the children of Alexander & Elizabeth are listed as born in Argansk, Fife and other Argansk, Perth; is it the same place?
Found Mary Deas' marriage to William Murdoch; her firstname is entered as Marney.

Jean, the progress I make is, in no small measure, attributable to you and the many folk that make TS a warm & fuzzy place
