Tiny Thomas McMenemy's cause of death.....

Morning all:
Ive added a death certificate for tiny Tom, I cannot make out the cause of death, can anyone help?

I'm afraid he wasnt the child I was searching for, but I know he is a relative.

the word is Lues, which is Latin for plague. It is usually taken to mean syphilis, poor lad.

Thank you, I appreciate your help. How sad, poor baby, I was searching for my Uncle, I did find him James McMenemy, poor baby too, he died of Measles. Tiny Tom though is a relative, havent figured out how....yet!

How sad, three babies deaths on the one page. The first poor little mite who died at 2 months from (wasting) had lost her mother too. :cry:

Yes really sad shows that the best food for babies is that which a healthy Mother can provide,gives them immunity from disease & as the Water supply may not have been the safest a protection from water borne infection too.
The tiny Tom was most likely infected prenatally or even during the birth.Could even have come from the Birth Attendant but in view of his age highly unlikely.
