I am trying to find out if my grandparents had more than one child that died, I found one James, died in 1916 at the tender age of 9 months. A cousin says she believes there was another son who died as well. I did a search of County Lanark, put the last name in, dates were 1915-1926, the years Im certain they were there in that area, mianly Rutherglen, and Cambuslang. The parents were Thomas McMenemy and Christina McMenemy ms Mitchell, short of going through 14 entries is there a way to look it up, as on the LDS site for births?
Thanks,
Karen

Only by going into NRH in Edinburgh, Park Circus in Glasgow and similar centres that are springing up around Scotland.......... as the entry fee entitles you to look at as many images as you like, - with DIGROS and the ability to look at digitised images on the screen at your search place, it's easily possible to check 200+ entries/hr.
While it's not relevant in your situation, from 1929 onwards it's not even necessary to look at the images as the indexes from that year onwards also show the maiden name of the mother.
What might well be relevant in your case is the similar fact that from 1974 onwards the death indexes also show the maiden name of the mother. Only y'day starting from a 1906 marriage that technique produced 4 sons to the marriage.............
There's comes a point such as in situations like this where it becomes cost effective to use a professional researcher.
