Anyone here from Alloa.....

Post by Miss Poohs » Wed Dec 28, 2005 1:09 am

I've been looking at a death cert where the death was unknown/suspitious.

This relative was found dead having not been seen for a day or too, there is a COE made so I will look into that, but family rumour I believe is that it was suicide, he was only 24.

I can't make out on the writing on the cert, it looks like Gavin's J????? near Alloa.

Anyone any idea how I could find out? :-k

Hi,

When did he die?

There is a Gavin's Road in Alloa now - www.multimap.co.uk and type in postcode FK10 2HF.

Thanks for that Annette, it looks like Gavin's J - something, thats why it sorta threw me.

My Aunt Jean said she thought he was found dead in a cemetery.

I'll try and copy it over and you can see it for yourself - let me try, I may be some time

Post by nelmit » Wed Dec 28, 2005 5:03 pm

Hi again,

I've PM'd you with my opinion of the second word of where William was found.

Hopefully others will agree - I'll not influence anyone by posting my guess here at the moment.
I've posted your cert. in the gallery

Yep that was Annette's suggestion and once she had said it, I had another look and I can see it now myself.

Looks like that is what it may be right enough - thanks guys :D
