Can't make out writing on Birth Certificate.....

Could someone have a look at this birth certificate for me and tell me the details as it is not a very good image.JAMES WHITELAW born 1856 blythswood father JOHN WHITELAW mother CATHERINE m/s HALL. N eed the date of birth and address

Helen,

should should fill out a contact form on the SP site, and they will post a clearer copy to you. For what it is worth, March 22nd was the date (confirmed by the LDS site), but it was Milton, not Blythswood. The address was 5 ?????llfield Road, if anyone else has ideas for the missing 5 or so characters.

It's 5 Sawmillfield Street, Glasgow, - see Chritina's birth in Milton in 1860.

By 1881 they've moved to .......
