Hullo Lisa
A warm welcome to TalkingScot.
I suppose you've already seen the entry on the
www.scotlandpeople.gov.uk site and possibly ruled out the
Mary McInerney who died in Govan in 1915, aged 62.
Other surnames Donnelly and Mcdermott?
Best wishes

Re: missing death records
Hello Lisa,
I had a long look around last night but found out very little about either family, except that both had Irish connections, so we can not discount deaths over there.
One thing that must be done is to separate facts from supposition. What evidence do you have that James McKenzie was in his late 20s or 30s and that he died in Scotland in 1909 or 1910? Likewise, why are you sure that Mary King died in 1911 and in Glasgow?
I found nothing further about the McInerney family (was your grandma Mary Esther, born 1905?) despite distinctive forenames. What became of them after 1911, and have you any marriages or deaths that state Mary King was deceased?
Regards,
John
