Rutherford and Greenlees (Dechiphering).....

Can anyone help me decipher the last name and job of Agnes (Mother of James Miller).

The name looks like Bunden but I wasnt able to find any marriages on that.

Looks like Burden to me and she was an Out-Door Worker.

I tried a search on Burden but no luck.

I would have said her name was Burden and she was an out door worker.

It doesn't look as if she was married to James Father, as the usual information is in the entry below :

Father's name and occupation and just the mother's maiden surname noted.

If She had been married to his father

It would have said :
Agnes Miller
M.S. Burden

The IGI gives this entry:

JAMES MILLER BURDEN
Birth: 18 JAN 1861 Larbert, Stirling, Scotland

Parents:
Mother: AGNES BURDEN

Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record

And just to confuse matters:
