Where did they marry.....

I've searched on the Scotland's people site looking for the marriage records of John McGill and Elizabeth Weatheral (deceased at the time of Thomas' marriage). The address listed on the son's marriage record is 31 Kitchener Street, Wishaw 18/01/1930. When the son - Thomas Allan McGill married Isabella Evans.

I'm pretty sure they were married in Scotland???

Can anyone help please?

I did a search at Scotland's People and found the following:

1907 MCGILL JOHN WETHERALL ELIZABETH GRAHA CAMBUSNETHAN /LANARK 628/00 0163

Maybe there seems to be various spellings of Elizabeth's surname - I'll check it out.

I used John McGill and Elizabeth We**, all areas, for the search as I had an inkling that the spelling would be a bit different.

This is most likely a long shot but I too am searching for a McGill
I have discovered a JANE/T MCGILL b circa 1835 Co Monaghan? Ireland .
Married to James McNaught living in Glasgow on the 1871 Census .

Maybe a lead there.

My partner's father we've heard is one of a twin.
