Doing some internet help for a friend as they dont have it. She has just got her parents marriage. The marriage was in England but her father was from Wiaw, Motherwell. His name was George Moody(father Robert - coal miner). The 1945 marriage says George was a widower. Now need to locate this 1st marriage and maybe her death or any children. George was in the army. Cameronians rifleman.

Only one Robert Moody marriage between 1920 and 1930 (Govan 1921).
There are 6 hits for a Robert Moodie in the same period (3 in Lanark).
It may be that this Robert married after 1930... so a trip to Edinburgh or Park Circus would be needed.
Should be quite easy to find the death of his first wife once you find her maiden name.
Any children of the first marriage will not be on SP.

Cheers. Its the marriage of George Moody i am looking for. He was supposed to be 34 when he married for the 2nd time in 1945. I presume the first marriage was around 1930-35. He must have been born around 1911, Wishaw we think. May be a while before we get to Edinburgh. What year do the mormon church BMD's go up to(depending if theyve got them in).
