I've uploaded the DC for Elizabeth Weir (nee Campbell ) there is no cause of death given, but there is an RCE entry.

Note that only the normal address is shown, i.e. the death didn't take place away from home, with the usual address also shown. This almost certainly means a sudden death, - stroke or heart attack, - at home, with no doctor in regular attendance prior to that.
So, as Andrew suggests, the RCE will deal with the reference to the Procurator Fiscal whose doctor would establish the likely cause of death and report back to the registrar. Her son James, living with her, probably found her dead in the morning.
