any way poor Hugh McMenemy met his fate 30 dec 1930, the RCE is

Hi Karen,
Apart from a willing volunteer, some more details are required if the RCE is to be found.
What registration district was the death certificate issued in? And the original certificate year, RD number and certificate number. To request an RCE at NRH these details are required.
Year: ____
Registration District Number: ____
Certificate Number: ____
RCE Volume Number: ___
RCE Page Number: ___
The first three items refer to the original certificate (occasionally the RCE is in a different year from the original certificate).
All the best,
AndrewP

I was at NRH today, so I have email you a copy of the RCE that you were looking for.
Hope that you have received it, but if not please let me know and I will print the details here.

In terms of letting others see what info there typically is in such an RCE it would be helpful if you could let us see the details here.

Hi David
Sorry about that. I didn't think. It's just that yesterday was my first venture participating on the site and as I don't yet know how to attach copies/photoes etc to the Gallery I thought that it would be best to attach the print directly through an email, but the information on the certificate was
Certificate signed by James Adam, Procurator-Fiscal on 21 Feb 1931.
Hugh died on 30 Dec 1930 at 12.30 p.m. in Royal Infirmary, Glasgow.
Cause of death - 'From injuries by accident received through being crushed between runaway hutches and wall. Per Verdict of Jury'.
Hope that this helps!

Hi Joanne
Welcome aboard
& thanks for sharing that!
There are many queries about RCEs come up on the forum, so good to get an idea of likely content. ...although I expect they probably vary a bit in degree of content & detail.
Best wishes

Thanks for that!
Two significant points in there, - firstly that the RCE itself does no more than confirm the cause of death.
Secondly, the phrase "per verdict of jury" means that there was a fatal accident inquiry held in the Sheriff Court, for which there will probably be a full record archived at NAS in Edinburgh; plus a newspaper report of the FAI.
