Barbour
HI:
I am new to Talking Scot.
I did a search of the Forum for "Barbour" and found your posting.
I looked at the document and an interesting thing shows for me.
In my lineage, I have the following:
Descendants of Eliza Jane Barbour
1 Eliza Jane Barbour
. +Samuel Brown
........ 2 Edward Brown 1865 -
........ 2 James Brown 1866 -
........ 2 Eliza Jane Brown 1869 -
........ 2 Catherine Brown 1871 -
............ +James Hunter 1867 -
................... 3 James Hunter 1890 -
................... 3 Thomas Grant Hunter 1891 - 1961
................... 3 Agnes Hunter 1894 -
................... 3 John Hunter 1896 -
................... 3 Mary Hunter 1899 -
................... 3 Catherine Hunter 1900 -
In your document Margaret Wallace MS Brown with an informant of Barbour seems to be an interesting co-incident.
If you find a connection, let me know.
