looking for Martins in Glasgow.....

Post by scruffy » Tue Aug 29, 2006 4:27 pm

Hi everyone could anyone help me I am looking for relations called Martin

Isobel Martin born 23/9/1900
Ronald Wallace Martin born 25/2/1931
Stanley Johnston Martin born 22 /2/1928
Isabella Martin born 13/7/1929
John Martin born 1902

I am trying to trace these relatives as I have never met them but I’m sure some must be still alive, they all lived in Glasgow during the nineteen thirties and had a shop in Anniesland Glasgow I think it was called Martins.

Any information would be great.

Hi Scruffy
Welcome to Talking Scot. :D

I'm sorry but, here on TS we can't help trace living relatives. Perhaps some of these web sites might help you in your search:

Not sure where you are, but if you are anywhere near Edinburgh or Glasgow a day spent at either New Register House or Park Circus might help you trace some of your relations forwards in time. Alternatively, if you are far away from Scotland, you might consider engaging the services of a researcher or see if you can persuade a friend or family member in Scotland to go NRH for you!

Best wishes
Lesley
