And my attempt for William.

Name: Gillan, William; not present (informant was not present at the birth)
Sex: Male
Date: 1855, Ninth June, 12 noon
Birthplace: 22 Parliamentary Road, Glasgow
Father: ____ Gillan, _____ Labourer, (age) 30 years, (born) County Donegal, Ireland
Married: 1846 Donegal, Ireland
Children: 2 boys and 2 girls dec.
Mother: Margaret Gillan, maiden name Gillan
Her 6th child, (age) 32 years, (born) County Donegal
Informant: _____ _____, father (his X mark)
William Brown, witness; ____ _____, witness (witnesses to the X-mark)
Registered: ____ _____ ____ , James Davidson, Registrar

You should fill in a contact form on the ScotlandsPeople website for both of these. They should send you out photocopies from the register that will be a lot more legible. Also for William's one mention that some of the information is lost in the centre surrounding the join in the pages.

All the best,

AndrewP

Hi Thomsos

Just to add to Andrew's valiant effort

I think her maiden surname was McDade - if you look at the entry 79 1st column there is a clear 'D' and above in entry 77 there is a clear 'McKay' for comparison.

The Registrar's name is 'Russell confirmed by the sign off at the bottom right of the page.
Can't even guess what the ???bridge is though.

Summing up, that's -

Name: Gillan, James; present [informant was present at the birth]
Sex: Male
Date: 1855, April Twenty-Sixth, 11h 0m PM
Birthplace: Possil Road, Rockvilla
Father: James Gillan, Quarryman,
[age] 28 years, [born] County Donegal, Ireland
Married: 1854
[?] Springburn
Children: 1 boy living, 1 girl deceased
Mother: Margaret Gillan, maiden surname McDade
Her 2nd child,
[age] 22 years, [born] Bishopbridge, Cadder
Informant: Margaret Gillan, mother
Registered: 1855, May 8th at Maryhill, John Russell, Registrar

The only area of doubt for me is the year of marriage, - it could be 1851.
