Ancestry.com look up please....Somerville

Hi all:
If someone with access to ancestry.com would check passenger records for sarah elizabeth somerville, would have come to the us sometime between 1834 and 1855, perhaps going to Philadelphia, would have left Edinburgh. I'd really appreciate it.

Do you have any other details - eg the name of the ship?

sorry about that, she would have been anywhere from an infant to about 18 or 19, I have so little on her and her family before her marriage in
Philadelphia between 1852-and 1855 to john Thorton. Im sorry I dont have the ships name.

I know she married a fellow named thornton in abt 1852-1855 in PA,

Was he a tailor? And was her middle name Elizabeth?
There is a confusing family whose places of birth change from 1860 to 1870. Her age is all over the map. They are in Philadelphia

Sarah:

Ive checked with a cousins notes and this does appear to be her/and her family, the ages are yes all over the place, we believe her to be born in 1834, in Scotland, I guess the age could be wrong on the ships manifest. Ive yet to locate her in Edinburgh where we believe she was born. And the added obstacle of not knowng her parents names is making it that much harder.

Thanks so much for looking, I will pass this along to my cousin, as this is her Great-grandmother.

If this is the correct couple, this seems to be their marriage:

The marriage is also recorded on the same day in Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh

Since both James and Helen lived past 1855, it would be worth your while to find their death certificates in the hopes that their parents' names are given.
