Hi Dennis,

I take it that its Mary Redpath's maiden surname you are after rather than Agnes's. My best estimate is Banks.

Agreed. Look at the other capital "B"s on Bathgate and Baird.

Agreed.

Weird!!!.. when I attempted the "quote" on behalf of wee DTCW, it widnae work, to the extent of deleting the post contents, and copying and pasting, then highlighting and using the "Quote" option in the above menu, but now it works................

Hi Anne. It looks like they all came from Tranent going back to the early 1800s.
