Can't find a death record for the first Mary

Hi,

I have a record for a Mary Drysdale dob Jan. 3, 1859 to Robert & Helen Drysdale (nee Wishart) in Fife. I have a 2nd Mary Drysdale dob Sept. 29, 1860 born to the same couple in Fife. I can find no record of the death of the 1st Mary.

Hello Dennis

You didnt say if you have looked at any death entries.

Doing a preliminary seach for Mary brings up one match using the following.

Drysdale, Mary
Female
1859 - 1859
birth year 1859 +- 1 year
Fife
All districts
I didnt include mothers maiden name as it comes up zero.

Even expanding the dates to 1859 - 1860 only brings up one.

Stewie, I swear I did do a death cert search and nothing came back. Its even in my previous searches list.

But, like you say, it is there now:)
