Alexander Cameron - Disappeared??

Hi All

Im looking for my 3gREAT Grandmother second Husband , Alexander Cameron.

He was born around 1816 in Campbeltown (where else in my family!!!) , he married Elizabeth Gemmell nee Reid on 4th December 1855 in Partick, both second marriages.

I have in the 1861 Census in Partick, with the children of Elizabeths marriage and there own Child John, in the 1871 Census he is Living with his step daughter Mary Gemmell now Stewart in Partick as well.

His son John marries in 1880 in Partick and declares his father deceased, i have searched on SP for Alexander Cameron born 1816 plus/minus 5 years all districts and with wildcards, to no avail.

I have tried most of the Glasgow ones , especially Govan, City , West End , North of City ones, and also some in Argyll in case he returned home to die

Can anyone help me ????
