I see Troon FHS have produced a book based on a collection of Walter Clearie. It contains extracts from the Glasgow Advertiser and Glasgow Courier. Seemingly it contains prominent BMD's, court cases, shipping movements and a general picture of local life of the times in and around Troon. I thought this might be of interest to some

Hi Mallog,

Looks like it would be very interesting...in fact, all of their publications look good. Just wish I had some ancestors from the area. Thanks for sharing.
