Hello - Welcome to Talking Scot

The IGI at www.familysearch.org

has a :
HELLEN BRUCE
Spouse: KENNETH MILLER
Marriage: 24 DEC 1827 Wick, Caithness, Scotland

Messages:
Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record.

There is a birth for a Daughter Margaret born to this couple 07 JAN 1831 Wick,

HELEN BRUCE
Spouse: WILLIAM HENDERSON
Marriage: 30 JUN 1832 Wick, Caithness, Scotland

Messages:
Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record.

A couple [or couples] with these names had 9 children in Olrig and Bower, Caithness, between 1832 and 1846 including twins in Oct 1844

Do you have any idea who she married?

There are several births, many of them submitted entries the only 2 likely Extracted ones are:

HELEN BRUCE
Christening: 06 SEP 1810 Wick, Caithness, Scotland
Father: JAMES BRUCE
Mother: EUPHEMIA MOWAT
Messages:

HELEN BRUCE

Christening: 18 DEC 1811 Bower, Caithness, Scotland
Father: JOHN BRUCE
Mother: CHRISTIAN DURON
Messages:

Perhaps these may help?

Thankyou so much. The one with Kenneth Miller is what I needed.

Does any census list where they lived and how many children they had whilst in Scotland? I know that Kenneth moved to Birkenhead in Cheshire and that Helen had passed away by then(no dates for this),and that he had several children by then.

Can't thank you enough.

FREECen doesn't have the 1861 census on line yet.
As Helen was still alive in 1851 there's a chance she lived until 1855 in which case her Death cert. would be on Scotland People [ if she died in Scotland].
I would look on SP for any of the children in the 1871 census too or some of thier marriages.
The IGI has several John and Jannet Millers marrying in Caithness trick would be knowing which may be yours?

family search also has the 1881 England census:
is this 'baby' Kenneth?

There are other likely entries for some of the other sons there too.

Freecen, Family search are free t osearch and view. Scotland's people is a pay per view site, but you do get the actual entries to download.

I do hope this has given you more to go on and lots more to search for.
