I am a 3rd generation direct descendant of James Black/Wallace, and I was hoping that the informant was a relative, but it was a nurse from the Poorhouse. He appears to have had no regard for his second family in any way., as he states he was the widower of Jane Blyth his first wife.

I totally agree that he was a " very naughty boy " but I wonder why ?

I am so grateful for all the help I have received from everyone; I`ll now be looking for another problem for you all to solve !!!!

I`m not sure if this will come to the top so that the people who found James Black/Wallace can see it.

( I can`t do quotes so here goes ) There is a record of his address as Roxburgh Street Kelso, just another occasion where he twisted the truth.

I`ve been going over my research; as I looked again at his first marriage to Jane Blyth I saw that James Black`s residence was Roxburgh Street Kelso !!

I just wish I knew what the reason was for his disappearance from his 2nd family.

Thanks again to all the people who helped find him.
