As were the Episcopal records I saw in Aberdeen a few years ago. One thing: In the disputed record of Edward's second marriage, he says his father was a farmer. Could one have been a farmer in Leith at that time? I know that many areas that are now inner-city were once farmland around Glasgow, but am unclear about the history of Leith besides the obvious port activities. Mind you, that marriage entry is a bit odd... he also said his father's name was Alexander Malcolm Robertson and he gave himself the middle name of Malcolm
