Sorry I thought you were looking for Elizabeth McLean and not Elizabeth Yuill.

I'm curious as to why you were hoping his mother would be called McLean :?

Annette,
One of the marriage witnesses appears to be the Sister of the Groom and tracing back to her birth, Cert States Mother's M S. Mclean.
That is if I am on the right track.
I would not have come up with the name YUILL .Never entered my head .

Hi again,

Interesting to note that Margaret Malcolm and Hugh Robertson married in 1862.
