There's no sign of any church in Blair Street other than the Tron Church (which should have the address as High Street, or Hunter Square), which was a Parish Church (Church of Scotland). It looks like many marriages of the time that it probably took place in a house, after the banns had been called in the Roman Catholic Church. The address given by the bride and groom is Robertson's Close, Cowgate which is in the same area as Blair Street.

The first witness's first name is Thomas, but the surname, is not so easy. I will stab a guess at Foller.

All the best,

Andrew Paterson

I thought Thomas may have been Toller/Teller or Foller/Feller. I searched the 1871 census for those surnames and found 8 Tollers and 3 Tellers but none with a first name beginning with T* Didn't find any Follers or Fellers.

This site lists St. Patrick's (where Fr. Hannan was stationed)at 40 High St. and I've checked the addresses for the other churches and none listed as being on Blair St.
