Hi guys

Jack - as always you have come up trumps. Thank you so much for all that information which I will sift through tonight.

Annette M - Thank you also for the information you have supplied and I agree with Davie about the maybole website. If only every area could do the same. I'll be checking out the site right now so thanks again to you all.

Sporran - Thanks for the advice about the spelling variants, i'll be checking them out soon.

Boy am I going to be busy or what :?

Take care

Hi Annette,

Glad you like the Maybole website. I have been visiting it regularly for the last couple of years as my dad's family came from there.

As a point of interest Mary McCartney's sister Margaret married James Currie. They had a daughter Sarah Currie who married William Murray in 1844. Their daughter Euphemia Ruth Murray was my grandfather, Robert Cook's ,first wife. The Murray Cook who runs the Maybole Historical Society is their grandson. I think I've got it all right.

Well I think it's interesting!!

Regards,
Annette M

Hi again Annette

Well that is interesting. I'll try to get a quiet moment later to try and get my head round it :?

Thanks for that
