Possible reason for address could be because it is a solicitor's office. It was in the case of my parents.
Somebody has to do the paperwork.

The information you previously posted has been very helpful to me indeed. I was unable to clearly read the information on my document, until I compared it to your post. The recorder's handwritting is very poor and difficult to read. Now thanks to your reply I'm able to make sense of it. Ellen Morning was also married at 35 Hutchison Street,district of Blythswood in the Burgh of Glasgow. I think Mesklin is on to something.

I've rececked my record and you are 100% correct, the names of the witnesses are in the LH column. Only problem is, I'm unable to read the names clearly.

Sorry Marilyn with Glasgow I work with paper maps, the old ones come from Alan Godfrey.

If you use the postcode G1 1SL on http://www.old-maps.co.uk/ or www.MultiMap.com you are in the right area.

Hutchison Street is 2/3 streets South and West of George Square, the Court House was between Hutchison, Brunswick, Wilson and Ingram Streets.

Hutcheson Street and the Court can be seen on the following webpage:

then select Sheet VI.11.11 (towards the south-east corner).
At the east side of that map, you will see the "court houses" marked. Running alongside the court houses is Hutcheson Street.
On the current map, Hutcheson Street can be seen at link to map showing Hutcheson Street
