I addition to Wilma's list of hospitals above, I have the following hospitals on my Glasgow ancestors' death certificates.
  • Woodilee Asylum, Lenzie - Registration District: Kirkintilloch, Dumbartonshire
Lightburn Hospital, Shettleston - Registration District: Shettleston
Stobhill Hospital (also listed as 1301 Govan Road) - Registration District: Govan (wrong, see below)
Maternity Hospital - Registration District: St Rollox
All the best,

Andrew Paterson

Andrew -

It's the Southern General that is on Govan Road and in the Govan District

Stobhill is away to the North of the City in Springburn [ I don't know exactly what district that would come under].

Hello Andrew,

Stobhill Hospital's address is Balornock Road and 1301 Govan Road is The Southern General Hospital.

It's OK Andrew we understand that you Edinburgers don't know our city like we do yourselves :)

Perhaps somebody should try and gather all the major hospitals and their districts together for reference ?
[ No don't look at me  ]
