Hi McConnachy,

I can't help with your enquiry but I do have a McConnachie mystery of my own and I'm posting it here on the off chance that someone with an interest in the name might be able to help. Hope you don't mind my hijacking!

An ancestor of mine Marian Wilson (nee Mitchell) died in 1925. the details on her death certificate were given by her son-in-law, what looks like John MCConnachie. Only trouble is I cannot find a marriage between any of the Wilson girls and a McConnachie. Anyone out there got a mcConnachie married to a Margaret, Mary Ann, Ann or Helen Wilson? I've never traced marriages for any of them though Margaret had a son by William Allanach and their sister Jane married William Gauld, both from Glenbuchat.
