Yup! I agree with the others that it says Tradeston.

Hi Tricia,
On Scotland's People it is indexed in the District of TRADESTON.
It is a shocker to read !!
You may also have this but on the IGI Births for his children he is listed with spellings of lewis/ louis.
I can send you pictures of Abbotsford Place if you like.

This is one of the BEST certificates I have- and I have many, one of the OPR was totally non readable, and because it was an old one they now say that they are not able to send you a copy due to the certificates being fragile,meaning they are not to handle them, which I understand, but they did credit me with 5 credits. Sorry went of the subject there a little

I would be very gratefull for the photos thank you, I have spent this week looking for churches & places of marriage in the family, the Scottish sites are pretty good, the England one are hard work, so thanks again.

marriage took place at 5 Abbotsford place Glasgow


In the district of GORBALS in the county of LANARK.
The minister is Andrew Leiper minister of Gobals Parish

the groom lived at 69 Crown street and the brides address is given as Blackford, Perthshire
