Hi All

The area of Perth for Georgina looks like Pomarium an area of old Perth, which is now probably where the bus station stands down to around hospital street. I remember ( I think) as a child the orchard full of pear trees in that area before the old houses were demolished to make way for shops, flats and the bus station

Next step has to be A K Bell Library I would think. I recently had great help from them when a friend's relative was boarded out as a child as both his parents died. The poorhouse inspectors paid an older pauper to bring him up. I did notice though she has the same surname as his gran but Dow is very common in that area.
