Hi Annette,

It looks like Ryen (probably should be Ryan).

All the best,

AndrewP

Change of mind, I now think it is more like Lyon.

Thanks Andrew.

I saw it first as Logan, then Lyon but now I see what you mean about Ryan.

Unfortunately there are no marriages for any of these. :?

kind regards,
Annette

Hi Annette,

There is this birth on the online IGI (and hence should also be on SP).

WILLIAM MACBEAN
Birth: 23 OCT 1803
Christening: 24 OCT 1803 Nairn, Nairn, Scotland
Parents: WILLIAM MACBEAN & MARGT. LYON

A brother of Isabella's?

All the best,

AndrewP

Hi Annette,

This could be Isabella and her husband less than 10 miles north of Aberdeen.

1871 (from Ancestry)
Whitecairns, Belhelvie, Aberdeenshire
James Munro 73 Stone-Breaker Nairn
Isabella Munro 68 Inverness
Ann Munro 10 (grand-daughter) Belhelvie
Margaret Duncan 8 (grand-daughter) Belhelvie

If correct, it suggests that she was born in Inverness.

And in 1841...

1841 (from Ancestry)
Acre Street, Nairn
James Munro 40 Labourer Nairnshire
Isabella Munro 35 Scotland (not Nairnshire)
Margaret Munro 13 Nairnshire
William Munro 8 Nairnshire
Isabella Munro 6 Nairnshire
James Munro 3 Nairnshire
Anne Munro 9 Mo Nairnshire

All the best,

AndrewP

Thanks for those Andrew. :D

According to the 1851 census Isabella was born in Ardersier, Inverness about 1804 and James in Nairn in September 1796 so it is definitely them.

They both died in St. Nicholas in 1875. Sadly James was found in the River Dee. :(

Kind regards,
Annette m
