I am trying to find as much details as I can on the following people from Troon Ayrshire.

Andrew Bell (Father)
Susan Gibbons (Mother) Possible Married 12/6/1912

They lived at 17 Harbour Close Troon
or 39 Backtemple Troon

However, we can help with people who were married in 1912... do you want to try to go backwards with this family, or do you already have that info?

I see on Scotland's People (link at top of page) that there appears to be the exact marriage you describe in Troon in 1912. Have you downloaded the certificate to see who their parents were?

Doing a free search on Scotland's People I see that:

James Gibbons died in 1930 in Troon, age 67. Certificate should give his parents' names to give us some help finding him.

Jane Gibbons died in 1939 in Troon, age 80 (other surname Cowan!)

Got to go now, but that's enough to chew on for a bit. Once you have looked up the marriage cert in 1912, we can start going back on the Bell side.

Thanks for all that information - I really appreciate it.

I dont suppose you are able to find any information regarding the marrage of Andrew Bell and Susan Gibbons can you? I know that they had a child in 1925 and the date of the wedding was 12/6/1912 but thats all. I wanted to know if they had any more kids other than susan.

I know that the daughter was then married and that they were married in Scotland but I am not sure of anything else, the address would be 17 harbour road troon.

What do you think?

With the advent of the modern indexes (coming sooner rather than later hopefully) on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk you'll be able to research and probably answer your own question!! No release date yet but they're bound to create a stir when they finally hit the airwaves. Remember they will be indexes only but will contain all birth, marriages, and deaths in Scotland right through 2006. Get your credit card ready !
