Hi everyone,
I am looking for the birth of my husband's Great uncle. His name was Thomas Purcell and he was born in Glasgow. My Husband's grandfather was John Purcell and i have found out quite a lot about the family ancestors through him.
John Purcell (grandfather) was born in 26/06/1902 in Hutchesontown, his mother was Annie Rodgers and father was John Purcell.
I have looked at some births for Thomas Purcell between 1900 - 1925 but most of them are marked 'no image'. One in 1911 in Hutchesontown might fit (9 years after John) but still possible. I don't want to spend 10 pounds if i am not convinced.
Can anyone tell me why most of them have no image. Any advice welcome.
Thanks,
Ailsa

There is 100 years closure on births. You can only download births on SP up till 1907. Soon, well, OK, Jan 2009 that will increase by a year....Can anyone tell me why most of them have no image.

Hi Lesley,
Thanks, i should have remembered that! that time at the turn of the century is quite frustrating as the last census is 1901.
My husband's grandfather was born in 1902 and the parents married in 1904 so i would think Thomas was born after 1904 - the mother died in 1919.
Unless i come up with something else i will have to wait.
Thanks again,
Ailsa
