please can anyone have a look for an Elizabeth McDonald's death maiden surname Middleton for me ? i have her in the 1851 census age 56 in Glenmuick Tullich Glengairn district but by the 1861 Thomas her husband is recorded as a widower i have Thomas' death in 1867 and that is how i know her maiden surname was Middleton but she is recorded as being Betty Middleton on her daughter's death cert she was recorded as Lizzie .
I accept she could have died prior to 1855 but would like other opinions as to any possibles before giving up

There is one Elizabeth McDonald who died in 1859 at Glenmuick about the right age. There is no 'other name' given but her mother's name was Adams.

There is such a Middleton/Adam(s) marriage at Coull, where your Elizabeth was born so it might be worth a check.
