Andy,
About a month back you replied to a posting on the SP site about family name FULTON. Thank goodness that I made a hard copy of all of the thread !! You had placed a reply about a Robert FULTON who was born in Colmonell to a unmarried Jane FULTON. This would have been around 1868. Do you have any recollection of that ? If you do - can you please let me know where you found the record of that birth ? Also, there is some other information there about Jane and her later marriage to William Lynch and their children born in Maybole. I was wondering if you know what became of any of those children?
Thanks,
HeatherV

No, the IGI does not give the 1881 Census for Scotland (I think it does for England and Wales). The 1881 info in my last posting came from the LDS CD set of 1881 Great Britain Census.HeatherV wrote:Are you able to display census information on the IGI ? I have tried by selecting "other" but do not get any response.
All the best,

Happy New Year HeatherV,
In the time I'v been searching ,which isn't very long,I've noticed that the only time I get a reading of a Scot on the LDS census it's a Scot on an English census.I have not found any Scottish census on LDS.
HeatherK
PS Did you get hit hard by the storm. We were lucky and didn't lose power though many of our friends did.

Hello HeatherK !
Well, when all else fails - read the directions - right ! I did that today on the IGI site and found that it does not contain Scottish Census information.
Should have done that before the post.
Storm - not too bad here at all. It was a very nice day to be tucked in here at home with the fire on. I did walk the beach yesterday at Pomquet on the other side of Antigonish and it seemed that there had been quite a storm surge as a fair bit of the beach a cliffs had be washed away. Lots of very chilly quahogs washed up on the beach and there for the pickin !
I trust that we will all have our lights on for at least a few months !!!
Kindest Regards,
HeatherV
