James Whyte .. why cant I find his birth?

I wonder if anyone can help me. I have spent many hours looking for the birth certificate of my greatgrandfather. His name is James Whyte who was born around 1851 in Drainie lossiemouth Moray. His parents (mygggrandparents) were Alexander Whyte and Mary Whyte (maiden surname Gray).James was married to Ann Munro who was born around 1845 in Duffus Moray. Her parents were Alexander Munro and Mary Munro (maiden surname Ross). I can find both their death certificates but can find no information on their birth certificates. This is driving me mad.... any help would be greatly appreciated

I did a search on Scotlandspeople there is a james wh*te born moray (all Parishes) 1853 this is the only james whyte? born in moray between
1850 and 1854 there is no james whyte born in Drainie born between 1850 and 1854. the above one may be worth a look.

Just had a look on IGI the above James White born 18th Sep 1853 parents James White and Isabella Melvin at new Spynie.

There is a William Whyte born to the parents that you listed above 9th sept 1855
this birth record should give you all the children born to this couple up to this child, it will also give you parents date and place of marriage
should also give you parents age.
