In preparation for a visit to the Borders later this year, I decided to have a look at what research materiel might be available locally. Good news, there is Borders Family History Centre in Galashiels.
A peep at the member list. BLAIR, that's a familiar name. Let's have a look at his website. WOW!!!!!! The Kilmacolm BLAIRS Family Tree. Much of my own research confirmed, branches heading off to USA, Australia, Jamaica and more.
E-mails have been exchanged with the researcher, who has sent me the Tree, fruit of at least well over 20 years of research.
Renfrewshire BLAIRS in the Scottish Borders website? A surprising find, but genealogical research teaches us that treasures are to be found in unexpected places.
Have a good day

Borders Family History Centre
Hi Everyone
Although my TS location registration is Edinburgh I actually live very near to the Scottish Borders Family History Society office in Galashiels. I am not a member there as none of my lines are in the area - but I would be happy to do a bit of research there for any of you seeking ancestors in Borders area. Their office is only open part time so research can be a wee bit slow.
Regards
Ted
