Hi,
Can anyone advise please?
I've been unable to track my GG Grandmother Agnes Ross in 1911 census. I know she died in Woodilee Asylum, Lenzie, Dunbarton in Nov 1915 age 91 and that she was widowed in 1904, living then in Shuttle St, Glasgow. If she was in the Asylum in 1911 would all the residents show in a normal search on SP?
On her death registration her normal address is given as her daughters - 80 Finlay Drive, Glasgow but she doesn't show there in 1911.
Regards,
Lizzie

Hi Lizzie,
Have you looked for her as Nancy or Nessie. Both are used as variants of Agnes.
All the best,

Hi Lizzie,
There are only 45 Ross females between ages 85-90 in all of Scotland in 1911
1 is in Glasgow City
0 in Dunbarton
Did she have any other children with whom she might be staying?
Best wishes,
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
Yes she had 9 children though only 5 survived! I have 1911 info on 3 of them and she's not with them. Perhaps I'll try the other two though I've already used a huge number of credits looking in this census!

Ah, haven't we all
If you have an idea of where they might be, you could just use the search to narrow it down and see if there is an elderly woman named Ross in the area also. No need to buy the image unless you see she is there.
Of course, her age may be mis-transcribed
