Help with birth cert.....

Tryin too find the birth of Peter Moran born 1861-1864 Scotland
Parenets Thomas Moran Mary Moran ( McNamara )
Have looked sp but can't find him

Hi Maddy,

The online IGI gives the following children to Peter Moran and Mary McNamara.
  • PATRICK MORAN - Birth: 16 JUL 1863 Stow, Midlothian, Scotland
    MARY MORAN - Birth: 30 JUL 1865 Stow, Midlothian, Scotland
    TEDDY MORAN - Birth: 04 SEP 1867 Stow, Midlothian, Scotland
    THOMAS MORAN - Birth: 13 NOV 1869 Stow, Midlothian, Scotland
    AUSTIN MORAN - Birth: 15 MAY 1871 Stow, Midlothian, Scotland
    MICHAEL MORAN - Birth: 06 MAR 1873 Lauder, Berwick, Scotland
The Peter you are looking for will almost certainly be Patrick in the list above. These names were frequently interchanged. All going well, all of the above should be available on ScotlandsPeople using the names as given above.

There may be more after 1875. The online IGI extraction of Scottish certificates stopped at 1875. The 1881 and later censuses may show more younger children to this couple.

thankyou yes this is my family but Thomas Moran is the father Peter i am looking for was born 1863 in Stow Scotland Can't seem too find birth certificate for him

His birth certificate is there - as Patrick, not Peter.
