Hi Barbara
OPRs together with civil registration records are available on Scotlands People
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/welcome.aspx
It is a pay to view site but very reasonable prices. I'm thinking you looked up your marriage on family search - the multiple dates are probably banns - one of the couple would have come from each of the parishes listed. You will find the baptisms searching for Robertson - parents John and m*csh* - Margaret's name has a few variations in the spelling. They are all in Argyll
Trish
When did they come to Australia? before/after 1841? The census images are also on SP

HI Barb
Welcome to TS.
The GROS site you may be able to access OPR's accepts visa, you buy credits, but they last for a year.
Very helpful for searching Scottish records. Just be aware that not all OPR's may be on the site.

Hi Barb
What a bother that they arrived here before 1841 and missed all the census records. As Stew mentions - you buy credits on SP - 30 credits cost 7 pounds (at the minute about $AU11) & credit cards are the usual way to pay. It costs 1 credit to see the result of a search (e.g. I searched for all the children of your couple & got index records for the 5 for 1 credit). I can only find 1 of the 2 OPR marriage records - it may related to spelling issues. Once you have search results you can then pay 5 credits to see the certificate or OPR image. If you browse the site, read the help etc, you will probably save some credits - very easy to spend lots - thus said - compared to Australian certificates - you can get between 5-10 from Scotland for the same price as 1 in Australia.
With OPRs - if you check the OPR deaths - they are very sparse - SP gives links to where you can check what OPRs survived and the dates they are available. For baptisms and marriages I usually check Family search first as it allows for many spelling variations and will often find what I cannot find on SP.
(I think I am repeating all the advice/information I received from AndrewP and other folks when I first joined TS
)

Thank you all for assistance and using your credits to help me. I'll wait until next Pension to give it a go.
Finding records can be "challenging" now, imagine future generations trying to interpret the goobledygook used in electronic records nowadays, that's if one can even locate it!!!
Thanks again,
Barbara
