Polly L Clark waqs born in 1896? I think. She married 0n 09 04 1919 a William McNicol Reid. She died on the 6 12 1926 in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. Can anyone help to get back to where she was born and her family background eg brothers, sisters and information about her parents. She is my grans sister in law. Thank you in anticipation of your help.

Polly is readily found in the 1911 census (right age, give or take 1 year; expected place). When you look that up on ScotlandsPeople, you will see the reason that you won't find her birth on ScotlandsPeople.
On that 1911 census, she is with both parents and all of her surviving siblings. You will note that her youngest sibling was born in Scotland. That birth certificate is quite readily found on ScotlandsPeople and it tells you where the parents were married; so gives you a good indication where you have to look next to follow that family line back.
