Hi

She was married to a Wiseman who died in 19XX in XXXXX. There are 2 records on scotlands people for a McLachlan and Scott marriage . I have a copy of the death cert for Wiseman and this is what it says on the record. How can I trace where she died and if they had any children at all. Also her place of birth. I have no information on her side of the family at all.

If you note the age of John when he died and the year it occurred and then note the year the marriage was recorded to Agnes you'll see that he was not a young man and they were married about a year before he passed away......so I'm thinking they probably did not have children together

. The fact that their marriage is recorded with two surnames for her indicates that she was known by both names so was probably married to someone before John. Without viewing the actual certificate we cannot know which surname is her maiden name and which is her former married name. You can however search for her death and use more than one surname which narrows things up very quickly. A likely looking death for her occurs nineteen years after John's at the age of 82. I have no idea if she might have had children from a former marriage or if he might have been married before her to someone else and had children.

AGNES WISEMAN WAS HER MAIDEN NAME SHE HAD A SISTER CALLED MARY WISEMAN,THEY WERE BORN IN THE GORBALS,SHE MARRIED WILLIAM JOHN CHAMBERS IN '53 HE DIED IN'76,AGNES WAS BORN IN'28, SHE HAD A SON OUT OF WEDLOCK BORN IN '46 HIS NAME WAS DAVID.I KNEW THEM FROM '53 AND AT THAT TIME DAVID WAS LIVING WITH HIS AUNT MARY WISEMAN IN THE EAST END OF GLASGOW. AGNES PASSED AWAY IN '97 .

fORGOT TO MENTION THAT AGNES AND WILLIAM JOHN CHAMBERS DID HAVE CHILDREN OR THEY MAY HAVE BEEN WILLIAMS FROM ANOTHER MARRIAGE.
