I've downloaded quite a few SR BMD certificates from the Scotland's people site now and they do have alot of great information in them. The other day though I viewed a birth entry from Maryhill 1855 and it was spread across 2 pages. It was really great and had more information than usual.
Both parents had a section for name, occupation (father only), age and birthplace. It also listed the date and place of the marriage in another column. Additionally it recorded the number of children, by sex, alive and deceased.
It's the first time I have discovered one of these. Does anyone know if these types of records were quite common or this was phased out shortly after the start of the SR recording?

This only happened in 1855, the first year of SR's
If you look at Scotlands People's 'What's in the database' it tells you what's in all records.
