Hello Forum
My Grandmother's birth cert. has illegitimate on it,it also has SEE REG. of COR.ENTRIES VOL. 1 fs? 112 DEC. 14 1904.Could this be the her Father's name added or is it more likely to be something else? If I send for BC will it have correction on it?
Thank you in advance
Janet

Re: RCE on Birth Certificate
It may well have the father's name inserted if the RCE deals with the outcome of a paternity action in the Sheriff Court; and will be typed rather than based on a photocopy of the register entry. If you want the full text of the RCE, then best to specify this when you order the extract.jintyb wrote:Hello Forum

In other cases, including death register entries, it's common to find the text of the RCE entry typed on the back of the extract.
