Hi Donna
Your efforts and generosity are appreciated and hopefully will someday serve a connection to assist someone else.
I wonder though if you've ever visited a site such as:
http://www.sctbdm.com/index.php
that seems eminently more equpped to not only welcome submissions but allow organized searching and email contact from anyone interested in the info? There may even be other sites but this is one I've checked myself!
Just trying to help....
Best wishes
Jean

Hi Just Jean
I am aware of the other site - but there was nothing on there that matched what I was looking for. But I'll keep it in mind.
I'm just offering some assistance back on this site first because - this is where I've received some wonderful help.
Just my way of giving back I suppose.
Regards

Just had to say that I HAVE submitted to Scotland BMD before, and handed in loads of record details. Sad to say that when the upgrade was done, many of my submissions were not listed. I don't know why; I know the lady is extremely busy...however I was miffed, seeing as it takes a lot of effort to table them etc. And I have many MORE I could submit, but after the first time, I am wondering whether to bother.

Nina,
I am so sorry your info was included in my debacle of a few years ago. It took a lot of agonising hours to try and restore the data from a huge error I made, and sadly I wasn't too successful.
But things have changed!! I have the site setup very differently and it is now searchable.
Occassionally there is data that doesn't make it thru to the site - I approve all submissions to avoid chaos. But now that only happens when vital info is left blank, ie the date.
The site now holds over 45,000 records and is steadily growing every month.
Again, I am sorry for mucking up your past submissions, but I assure you things have changed and I would love for you to try again.
Cheers
Sue
